Just last Saturday, Yuanchuang pie held an offline activity in garage coffee, attended by more than 100 people. The scene is warm, everyone's desire for communication is strong, and many entrepreneurs want to find a technical partner for their projects. But the feedback from some technical partners is that many entrepreneurial projects are just an idea, which is not reliable at all. At this stage, it is impossible to let technical partners work.

Note: what we lack more recently is pattern analysis articles (such as analysis of taxi app, o2o and so on). We have collected a lot of entrepreneurial experience articles!

Editor's note: the author of this article is Gary (micro blog ID @ yuan Chuang PAI), founder of Yuan Chuang Pai. He has ideas but can't write code. Are you still stepping on the minefield below to find a technical partner? Here's how you feel:

Just last Saturday, Yuanchuang pie held an offline activity in garage coffee, attended by more than 100 people. The scene is warm, everyone's desire for communication is strong, and many entrepreneurs want to find a technical partner for their projects.

But the feedback from some technical partners is that many entrepreneurial projects are just an idea, which is not reliable at all. At this stage, it is impossible to let technical partners work.

Let's look at the second case. Not long ago, a member of Yuan Chuang sent a long-distance call to me and said: I have a very NB idea, that is to find a technology to help him write programs. I asked: what did you pay for this project? What can be given to technology partners? The other side said: I can give shares. If I succeed in the future, everyone will succeed.

In fact, this logic is fundamentally wrong. Because a technology partner doesn't program for you because of an idea!

Why do you say that? Because at the beginning of the project, the investment of technicians is the highest. Others may be an idea, but technicians spend a lot of time writing code. Once the project doesn't go as well as expected, his time and work will be wasted. So in many cases, technicians will write code for their own idea, but they will not write code for another idea. Because they are worried that their work will not be valuable in the future.

So, to find a technical partner, the first step is to straighten out the mentality: don't think you have the best idea now! You may really have an idea to change the rules of the game, but that's not the point at all. Because, the technical partner wants to create a company with you, not for you!

Especially after participating in various activities, technical partners often receive many invitations. If you're just an idea, how can you convince a technology partner.

Therefore, to find a technology partner, first of all, it is necessary to let the other party identify with what they have done. Then how to make the technology partner identify with themselves? You need to start from the following four aspects:

1. Create a prototype

There's nothing like creating a prototype to show that you've done something, even a few wireframes. There is such a tangible thing, whether it is a website, an app, or a product, which is the only way to express your passion and commitment to this matter. Archetypes not only make your ideas more concrete, but also help you stand out from other ppts or simple creative descriptions. If you can't get to this point, you're not ready to find a partner - at the event site, a few friends find partners who can communicate in-depth. Most of them demonstrate the prototype and work with a computer, rather than just a mouth.

2. Prove that you have communicated with potential customers

An idea without customers can only be an idea. You should do a lot of homework, get in touch with potential customers and get feedback. Show them your prototype and ask if they are willing to pay for your product or service. You want the technical partner to prove that you have done these works, and have sufficient cases to prove that my plan is feasible. What the technical partner wants to know most is whether the project can make money. If there are real cases that are willing to pay, the technical partner can easily be persuaded. For example, Yuan Chuang sent a partner to do micro blog data analysis and entrepreneurship project whose background is sales, and he told me: I have customers waiting for me to do it now, and then I will get money. Such projects are more likely to win the favor of technical partners.

3. Learning programming

You should learn to program, even if it will, and you will gain the respect of potential technology partners. There is no better way to understand someone than to speak their language. Learning programming will help you measure how talented a potential technology partner is. If you don't know how to program, how do you evaluate other people's skills? Now it's very easy to learn programming. You can take advantage of the services of codecademy, skillshare, intelligent.ly and general assembly, where there are a lot of free courses. I am an example. Although I can't write logical code, I build all the pages of Yuanchuang school. This makes it easier for me and technical partners to understand each other when communicating.

4. Pay the cost

If you think you are the sponsor of this project, you must promise to pay the technical partner fees, especially when you let the other party work part-time. It doesn't have to be a lot of money, but it has to be given. Because it gives technology partners a sense of security, and even if the project doesn't succeed, their programming isn't worth zero. If you're not willing to pay a technology partner for such a cost, give up the ridiculous idea. A lot of entrepreneurs can try to give a little money to technology partners to realize some functions first. Then you can run it again and verify your creativity.

Remember, you need to think of a technology partner as a true partner, not just someone who can program and write code for you. In this way, you can find your own technical partner on the website where Yuanchuang group has gathered a group of technical talents. The key to attracting talent is to show your sincerity and commitment. Good luck!
