If you've been experiencing some of the following problems in chrome, it's possible that you have spam or malware installed on your computer:
- Pop up ads and new tabs always appear
- Chrome home page or search engine always changes without your permission
- Reappear unwanted chrome extensions or toolbars
- Your browsing process is manipulated and redirected to unfamiliar web pages or advertisements
- Display alerts about viruses or infected devices
In the future, please download only the files you have determined to be safe, or visit only the websites you have determined to be safe, so as to avoid being harassed by junk software.
Remove junk programs (for windows and MAC)
Before you reset your browser settings on windows or Mac, check your computer for junk programs.
Check your computer for malware (for Windows)
Chrome can help you find suspicious programs or junk programs on your computer. If chrome detects spam, click Remove. Chrome removes the software, sets some settings to default, and closes the extension.
You can also manually check your computer for malware.
- Open chrome.
- In the upper right corner, click "more" icon to set.
- Click Advanced at the bottom.
- Under reset and clean, click clean up computer.
- Click Find.
- If the system requires you to remove the junk software, please click Remove. You may be asked to restart your computer.
Remove malware manually (for MAC)
You can remove malware from your computer and other programs that you have not installed in your memory.
- Open finder.
- Click on the application on the left.
- Find out all the programs you don't know.
- Right click on the name of any junk program.
- Click move to wastebasket.
- When you are finished, right-click on the wastebasket at the bottom of the screen.
- Click clear waste basket.
Recover Quarantined files (for Windows)
Chrome can help you find suspicious programs or junk programs on your computer. If a garbage program is detected, chrome removes the software, sets some settings to default, and closes the extension.
If you think chrome deleted a security file or personal file by mistake, you can recover it.
- On your computer, open the folder% userprofile% \ appdata \ local \ Google \ chrome Cleanup tool \ quarantine.
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome Cleanup Tool\Quarantine
- Open the folder quarantine.
- Click continue.
- Right click the file you want to restore, and then click extract all.
- Enter the password Chrome? Cleanup.

Reset browser settings
If you have removed the garbage program or reset your browser settings, you may need to reopen some extensions. To open the extender, click the "more" icon in the upper right corner of the screen, and then click more tool extenders. Please open only the extensions you trust.
